It Was a Busy but Uneventful Election Day at Maine Polling Places

In an election that was hotly contested in several races, with concerns expressed over security at the polling sites, it turned out to be a relatively uneventful day. Instead of being concerned about election security, Maine police agencies were busy with a seemingly unrelated swatting incident involving local schools. Lines were long at many voting sites as people waited patiently to cast their votes

Presidential and Maine Election Results, So Far

Donald Trump has been elected the 47th President of the United States.

  • Donald Trump - 286 Electoral Votes
  • Kamala Harris - 226 Electoral Votes

State races are mostly decided, although the Golden-Theriault bid for the House is still very close. These results were reported by the Bangor Daily News, as of 8:30 am:
