Local Movie Theater Goes All Out Decorating For Halloween; Will Give Out Candy
Since re-opening after rebranding, Black Bear Cinemas in Orono has gone above and beyond to make sure that when you come to see a movie, the entire process is an experience, not just the film.
Theater owner, Zach Hussey, says they have the place decked to the nines this year for the Halloween season.
"Pretty much our goal is to have the most fun moviegoing experience every time. And that experience starts as soon as someone steps through the doors."
"We wanted to go all out for Halloween. It has been a lot of fun seeing everyone’s reactions to the 12-foot skeleton as they come in the entrance."
As they have in the past, for premieres of the "Barbie Movie" and "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", the entrance to the theater is decorated, but it doesn't end there.
Every square inch of the theater seems to have been spook-a-fied!
"We have a Horror-themed art contest where customers can vote on their favorite piece as they come in to see a movie."
Even the exit is creepy!
"On top of that, we have a Harry Potter Marathon going on. The first two movies are already playing and the remaining will be played over the holidays! People have been loving the Harry Potter movies, some seeing them back to back."
"Saturday, November 3rd we will be playing Sorcerer’s Stone, Prisoner of Azkaban, and Goblet of Fire back to back to back. Give people the opportunity to have an all-day Harry Potter Marathon! Also, anyone who comes to see every Harry Potter movie at the theater and holds onto their tickets will be entered into a chance to win a Harry Potter Suitcase full of Harry Potter items."
"Last not that important detail but we are handing out candy on Halloween as well if people want to stop by in their costumes!"
