K9 Clint Saves Man in Crisis Who Fell Through Ice [PHOTO]

K9 Clint and trooper Eric Verhlle helped locate a Thomaston man in crisis who, officials said, had taken off into the woods behind his house Saturday.

Authorities said the man was under the influence of drugs and alcohol. His name and age were not released.

The man called police and said he soaking wet and couldn’t move after falling through ice. Police said they then lost contact.

K9 Clint tracked him for 30 minutes in the woods after getting a positive track from the man’s vehicle in the driveway.

Officials said the man was still moving away, but they could still hear him yell for help from a long distance.

The male subject had hypothermia and was lying on the ground when K9 Clint and Trooper Verhlle found him. He was led out of the woods by a Know County Deputy Sheriff who rendered aid. The man was treated by rescue.
