Jolene’s Family Thanksgiving Day Tradition

Happy Thanksgiving! Many of us are creatures of habit and do the same things over and over again. With Thanksgiving being today, I was thinking of what my family does as a yearly tradition.

Thinking back to my childhood, I remember one Thanksgiving tradition that my family does ever year. While we are all busy preparing the annual Thanksgiving feast, we always watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on TV. It’s always on at the same time every year and is always on in the background as we prep and gather for Thanksgiving dinner.

I remember, as a child, being so excited to watch the parade with all of the gigantic parade floats and marching bands. I know watching it on TV is not as cool as actually being there, but one can dream, right?
