This could be a great way to get your foot in the door--or your hand in the water.  Queen Elizabeth is looking for someone to wash her dishes for £14,000 ($23,000 US) a year.

An ad posted on the royal website says the household is seeking to hire a general catering assistant, or basically, a dishwasher.

The new permanent employee will do the washing up mainly in the staff restaurant at Buckingham Palace but will also be required to wash other royal dishes.

According to the job post, the successful candidate must have “a flexible and willing attitude” and "be happy to travel and work at other royal residences in the UK and at weekends."

So when Her Majesty is away from London—which could be up to two months of the year—the royal dishwasher must be ready to travel with her.

If being up to your elbows in suds all day isn’t your cup of tea, the Royal Household is also looking to hire tour guides, ticket-takers and retail assistants.
