After being questioned about how he’s using Cooper Flagg, Jason Kidd didn’t hold back following Saturday night’s loss to the Houston Rockets, showing clear frustration.

Kidd has deployed the 6-foot-9 Mavericks rookie as a point guard all season, rather than in his more natural forward position—a move that has raised eyebrows.

When asked about criticism that he’s misusing the Maine-born forward, Kidd made it clear that he’s not concerned.

Kidd dismissed the feedback as opinion-based noise, saying he’s played the game at the highest level and knows exactly what he’s doing when it comes to developing Flagg.

After the loss, Kidd continued to dismiss the criticism, saying he doesn’t care what people write because they’ve never played the game.

He added that the criticism only makes him better because it means people are paying attention, then refused to take any questions and stormed back to the locker room.
