19-Year-Old Charged with Hitting Woman with a Hatchet in Maine
A 19-year-old man was arrested Saturday and charged with hitting a female family member with a hatchet on Pushaw Road in Glenburn.

The Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office said Ethan Herbert “had struck the 59-year-old female family member with a hatchet.”
Woman Seriously Injured
The woman was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Fled the Scene and Taken into Custody
Herbert fled the scenes before Deputies arrived. He was apprehended on the roadway a short time after the incident.
Assault Charges and More
He was charged with Domestic Violence Aggravated Assault, Domestic Violence Elevated Aggravated Assault and Attempted Murder.
