A 20-year-old man Hampton man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of 20-year-old Jessica Ann Miller of Apohaqui, New Brunswick.

Jesse Reynolds entered the plea in Saint John Provincial Court on Wednesday morning, according to the RCMP.

Jessica Ann Miller was reported missing by her family on July 10. On the afternoon of July 13, her car was found in Saint John. At about 8 p.m., police recovered her body in a wooded area off Highway 1 near Prince of Wales, N.B.

An autopsy determined the cause of Jessica Miller's death was asphyxiation, police said.

Reynolds was charged with manslaughter on Tuesday of this week. He had been charged earlier with committing an indignity to a dead body. Reynolds remains in custody and will appear back in Saint John Provincial Court on November 16.
