Four teams from the Colonial Athletic Association finished in the Top-25 of the STATS FCS final rankings.  The James Madison Dukes topped the charts with a #1 ranking after they won the national championship this past Saturday.

Richmond came in in eighth place with a 10-4 record in 2016, while Villanova (#11) and New Hampshire (#17) also charted into the final rankings.  In addition to the four ranked teams, the Maine Black Bears and the Albany Great Danes also received votes in the poll.

The Black Bears finished the season with a 6-5 record and missed out on the post-season after falling to New Hampshire in the final game of the season.  It was the first season for Head Coach Joe Harasymiak at the helm of UMaine.

Maine will play the University of Central Florida on September 30th and UMass on November 11th as FBS match-ups next season.
