Well, at least one expensive and underrated Netflix series managed to escape the cancellation axe. Just weeks after its second season, animated comedy F Is for Family confirms that Bill Burr, Laura Dern and more Murphys will be back for Season 3.

Burr himself confirmed the news over Twitter, though – given the lengthy wait between Seasons 1 and 2 – it remains to be seen when new episodes might premiere. Also unclear is the episode order, as the first year brought only six episodes, compared with the second’s ten:

For those unfamiliar with the series, so reads the official synopsis:

F is for Family, created by Bill Burr and Emmy award-winner Michael Price (The Simpsons), follows the Murphy family in the 1970's, a time when you could smack your kid, smoke inside and bring a gun to the airport. Burr voices the role of Frank Murphy, the family’s extreme patriarch; Laura Dern voices Frank’s wife Sue; and Justin Long voices the family’s oldest son, Kevin.

The series also features in guest roles Sam Rockwell, David Koechner and more. You can check out the first Season 2 trailer below, and watch all episodes on Netflix.
