Once again, Brenda Davis, long-time hunger advocate, will partner with Maine’s credit unions to travel each day, both by foot and car, to raise awareness about hunger In Maine.

The 17th Annual Maine Credit Unions’ Ending Hunger Walking and Awareness Tour began on Friday, October 26, at Maine State Credit Union in Augusta. Davis will be walking in Aroostook County Oct. 31 and Nov. 1st. Her walk concludes Tuesday, November 27, in Hampden at Changing Seasons FCU.

This year, Davis, Director of the BBC Opportunity Center in Bangor, an organization that helps thousands of people Maine, will visit 96 credit union locations in 90 different communities.

The Maine Credit Union League is contributing a $117 check to a food pantry in each community that Brenda visits.

In addition, the Maine Credit Union League is contributing $117 to the BBC Opportunity Center for every credit union visited along the way.
