A major renovation of the emergency department at The Aroostook Medical Center will result in a temporary, six-week relocation of the entrance.  Beginning Tuesday, April 23rd at 4:00 a.m., patients using the emergency room at TAMC’s A. R. Gould Memorial Hospital in Presque Isle will be directed to enter through the main entrance.

Patients will need to use “Driveway B” on Academy Street, which is the one closest to the Presque Isle Nursing Home.  Temporary signs will direct patients to the main entrance.  From there, they will be shown where to go to be treated.

During the six-week renovation period, incoming ambulance traffic will also be re-routed to the Giberson Day Surgery Unit.
