Crews already have restored power to more than 2000 customers since sunrise and will continue to make repairs throughout the day until all customers are back on line. Emera Maine expects to have power restored to remaining customers without power by the end of the day Thursday.

Many back roads and private drives were icy and very slippery. Customers have been asked to be sure driveways and roadways are cleared and well sanded to ensure the crews can access all areas to make repairs.

The public is urged to slow down or move over and change lanes, when possible, if approaching utility crews working on roadways.

If you use a generator, make sure it’s in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidelines.

Avoid coming in contact with fallen power lines.

Customers may report outages or ask questions by calling the Customer Service Center at (207) 973-2020 or 1-855-363-7211.
