Doug Cyr has been named the next Fort Kent Community High School Girls Varsity Soccer Coach as he was approved by the MSAD 27 School Board in their regular monthly board meeting on Monday July 2.

Cyr replaces Robby Nadeau who accepted the Fort Kent Elementary School Principal position earlier this spring.
Cyr, who played soccer for three seasons (1995-97) at the University of Maine at Presque Isle, is the Human Resource Manager for Irving Woodlands, LLC & Irving Forest Products, Inc.
He has coached primarily at the youth level working in various capacities for the Fort Kent Recreation Department from 2008-2017.

Cyr will inherit a team that lost six seniors this past season, losing to Central of East Cornith in a Class C North Quarter final and finished the year at 7-8-0.

He resides in Fort Kent with his wife Dawn and their three children Dominic, Julia and Morgan. Morgan will be a freshmen on the team this fall.
