A vice president at the County Federal Credit Union has graduated from the Credit Union National Association Management School.

James Mattila, Vice President of Lending at the County FCU, joined the Credit Union back in 2008 as a Member Service Representative and rose up through the ranks. He was promoted to Loan Officer in 2010 , then promoted to branch manager in Houlton, where he immersed himself in the community.

As Vice President of Lending, Mattila enrolled in the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Management School to obtain his Certified Credit Union Executive (CCUE) designation.

The goal of CUNA Management School is to build dynamic leaders and the program has a well-earned reputation as an outstanding three-year executive education program.

Dan Bagley Executive Vice President of The County Federal Credit Union stated that the CUNA Management School’s curriculum is a very challenging and intense program that gives its students the ability to transform their organizations with emphasis on leadership, teamwork and providing a great member experience. “We are successful because of the hard-working individuals who have shown commitment to excellence and to their own development."

Mattila has also earned a Commercial Lending Diploma from the Center for Financial Training and attended the Young Professionals Institute in Presque Isle.
