It won't be long and County kids in Maine will be heading back to school. As you well know, a great start to the year can help with great outcomes for our kiddos.

That's where you come in.

You'll have the opportunity to play a big role in giving our County kids the best start of their new school year by supporting this years 'Stuff the Bus' campaign in Houlton and Presque Isle Walmart locations.

Gary Freeman, with Townsquare Media and Sherry Locke, Executive Director of the United Way of Aroostook County will be perched at Walmart in Houlton this Thursday and Trent Marshall with Big Country 969 will be at Walmart in Presque Isle on Friday.

According to Locke, the good people in the County helped to raise about $10,000 in back-to-school supplies for County children.

Locke had great words to say about those in the community:

"The community really supports this event and we try to make it as easy as possible being right at the Walmart location. Those back-to-school deals are happening right now and you can get a lot of supplies for just $10. So, it's a great way for the community to come out, pick up some school supplies and help our local students."

Please make plans to help our local kids get back to school. You can drop off school supplies at the Walmart in Houlton and Presque Isle.

We thank our local Houlton and Presque Isle Walmarts, Priority Auto in Houlton, Wireless Zone of Presque Isle, and you for helping with this very important cause.

We'll see you at the big, yellow school bus!
