A man was arrested Sunday and charged with Robbery at the 7-Eleven in Springvale.
Search and Arrest Warrants Executed at Residence
The Sanford Police Department said Matthew Sommer from Sanford was taken into custody after a search warrant and arrest warrant were executed at a Bodwell Street residence.
Robbery Evidence and Investigation Led to Identifying the Suspect
The robbery happened on December 1, 2025. Detectives with the Sanford Police Department investigated the evidence in the case and identified Sommer as the suspect.
Maine State Special Response Team Involved in Apprehension of the Suspect
The Southern Maine Special Response Team assisted in the arrest and apprehension of Sommer.
Suspect Charged with Robbery and Held on $25,000 Bail
He was transported to the York County Jail and charged with Robbery. His bail was set at $25,000.
