
Man Charged with Drug and Illegal Gun Possession in Maine
A 24-year-old man was arrested Monday and charged with drug and gun possession following a traffic stop in Rockland.
Charged with Drug Possession and Illegal Gun Possession
Timothy Chickering was taken into custody and faces charges for Drug Possession, Illegal Possession of a Firearm (possession by a user of controlled substances) and motor vehicle violations.
Police Were Doing Traffic Enforcement at Several Nuisance Properties
The Rockland Police Department said officers were “conducting pro-active traffic enforcement in the area of several nuisance properties” when Chickering was pulled over.
Man Had Concealed Gun and Drugs in the Vehicle
He was driving with a suspended license. Police saw him trying to conceal drug paraphernalia and also found he was carrying a concealed pistol on his person. Drugs were located in the vehicle and seized.
Suspect Arrested and Taken into Custody
Chickering was arrested and taken into custody to face charges.
