Breaking News: Senator – Elect Angus King to Caucus with Democrats

At a press conference Senator - elect Angus King announced that he will be causing with Democrats while in Senate.

King said that though he will vote with the Democratic party he chooses to remain independent for as long as possible. He also said that his main goal is to represent Maine as effectively as possible.

‘And so I have decided to affiliate with the Democratic Caucus because doing so will allow me to take independent positions on issues as they arise and at the same time be an effective representative of the people of Maine,’ King said.

King continued to say that he is not singling out the Republican party. The senator would like to work with both party to resolve the political deadlock.

‘We must find a way to act because many of the problems before us—the debt and deficit is the best example—have a time fuse; the longer we avoid acting, the worse they get. In this case no decision is, itself, a decision, and it’s almost certainly the wrong one,’ King said.
