Augusta Police are asking for the public's help identifying a person who robbed the Big Apple store on Stone Street over the weekend.

When Did This Happen?

Once again, Augusta Police are investigating a robbery at the Big Apple convenience store that has been robbed before. Officials say the latest robbery happened just after 4:00 Sunday morning. Police received a call from someone who told them an unidentified male suspect had walked into the store and demanded an undisclosed amount of money and merchandise. The person did not display a weapon and no one was hurt in the robbery before the suspect fled.

What Does the Suspect Look Like?

According to Augusta Police Deputy Chief Kevin Lully, the suspect is described as a white male, approximately 5'10" to 6' tall, 160 to 200 pounds, and was wearing a black sweatshirt, black sneakers, and light-colored pants at the time of the robbery. A picture of the suspect from the store's surveillance camera has been released by police, in hopes someone will recognize him.
