
Man Charged with Punching Dog & Owner and Spit on Police in Maine
A 34-year-old man was arrested Wednesday and charged with punching another man and his dog and spitting on police in Bangor.
Assaulted Dog, Owner and Police
Dirk Webster was taken into custody around 2 am on Front Street. He was charged with assault, disorderly conduct, refusal to submit to arrest and assault on a police officer
Punched Dog and Owner
The Bangor Police Department said Webster was charged with punching a dog and the owner after they intervened. The dog owner had visible marks from the assault, said WGME News.
Spit in the Face of Officer
When police tried to issue Webster a summons, he became disorderly and spit in the face of one of the arresting officers.
Hit His Head on Cage in Police Car
Webster then struck his head on the cage in the police cruiser and had a cut on his forehead.
Taken to Jail
He was transported to the Penobscot County Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
