Police Arrest Inmate Who Walked Off Job Site in Maine
A 45-year-old inmate who walked off a Maine Department of Corrections job site last week was apprehended and taken into custody on Saturday.
Man Walked Away for Department of Corrections Job Site
Brian Day was wanted after he left the job site in Thomaston on May 4.
Inmate Left Without Permission
He was being held at the Bolduc Correctional Facility in Warren before he left without permission.
Woman Arrests with Wanted Man from Maine
Day was arrested in New Hampshire with 45-year-old Candice Fisher.

Man and Woman Pulled over in Vehicle and Taken into Custody
They were both pulled over and stopped in a maroon 2011 Nissan Altima and taken into custody on warrants.
Man was Sentenced to Prison for Theft and Forgery
Day had been in prison since October 2025 and was serving a sentence of 3.5 years for theft, forgery and other charges.

Inmate was Classified as Level of Community Custody
He had earned a classification level of community custody and was working in the job site when he walked away, according to the Maine Department of Corrections.

The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are pending.
