
America’s ‘Cheapest’ Restaurant Has 19 Locations in Maine
This popular fast food chain was recently named the ‘cheapest’ in America—and with 19 locations here in Maine, it’s safe to say we love it!
Listen, we get it—when you hear the word cheap or cheapest, it might sound like a bad thing. But in this case, it really just means inexpensive, and with that context, we think that’s all that matters!
So, with that in mind, how did one restaurant chain earn the title of the cheapest across the country? What criteria were considered?
Researchers looked at nine of the biggest fast-food chains in America and compared prices across 54 popular menu items, from fries to breakfast to desserts. After crunching the numbers, one chain stood out for keeping things more affordable, even as prices have soared just about everywhere else.

Well, having said all that… which restaurant, with over a dozen and a half locations in Maine, was just named America’s cheapest?
According to a new analysis by Kasinohai, Taco Bell has been named the overall cheapest fast food chain in America. The study found that Taco Bell ranked either first or second in nearly every category, including breakfast, fries, nuggets, desserts, and value items.
Taco Bell’s Breakfast Crunchwrap Sausage and Nacho Fries were standouts, offering some of the best value per 100 calories.
Meanwhile, Wendy’s came in second overall with the cheapest dessert, and Burger King ranked third, while McDonald’s was found to be the most expensive in most categories.

And there you have it! Taco Bell—found all over Maine—was recently named the nation’s ‘cheapest’ fast food chain!
