A 39-year-old man died Friday afternoon after a diesel tank exploded in Rockport.
Man Died after Fuel Tank Explosion
Sean Rancourt was welding the diesel fuel tank when it exploded around 3 pm on Rockville Street, said WABI News.
First Responders Tried to Save Man
First responders treated Rancourt at the scene, but were not able to rescue him.
Maine Fire Marshal
Multiple units responded to the explosion including the Maine Fire Marshal’s Office, police and fire departments.
Maine Medical Examiner’s Office
An autopsy will be done by the Maine Medical Examiner's Office in Augusta.
