22-Year-Old Maine Man Charged With Murder

A 22-year-old Maine man from Morrill was arrested Friday & charged with the murder of a 26-year-old Belfast man in Swanville.

Austin McDevitt is accused of killing Shane Sauer in a cabin behind a mobile home Friday morning, according to the Associated Press. The incident was reported to authorities around 4:45 a.m.

The men knew each other, said police. A woman was also present at the time of the shooting. Her name has not been released... Officials declined to comment on the relationships. None of the individuals lives on the property.

Detectives continue their investigation. McDevitt is due in court early next week.
