The St. Stephen RCMP is investigating a fire Friday night that caused major damage to one house and damaged an adjacent house and other property.

Police were called to the fire on Pine Street in St. Stephen at around 9:45 p.m. Friday.

No one was injured in the blaze, according to Constable Peter Lambert. The cause of the fire has been deemed suspicious and the RCMP is seeking the public's assistance with their investigation.

Anyone with information about this fire or who may have seen anything suspicious in the Pine Street area prior to the start of the fire is asked to contact St. Stephen RCMP at (506) 466-7030.
