Allison Pluard confessed to purchasing low-denomination postal money orders and fraudulently imprinting amounts up to $1,000, according to court records. She worked at the Hermon C&K Variety, a Contract Postal Unit, at the time, said officials.

She faces a $250,000 fine and up to five years in prison. She will be sentenced after the completion of a presentence investigation report by the U.S. Probation Office.

The investigation was conducted by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.
