Eager Fan Takes Ridiculous, Perfectly-Timed Selfie After Potential MLB Catch of the Year
The scoreboard selfie's run as the hottest trend in sports is already over.
Arizona Diamondbacks outfielder Brandon Drury made a spectacular catch on a foul ball that carried him into the stands during Wednesday's game against the Marlins in Miami, but that's not what makes it so special.
Drury, he of the impressively athletically play, was upstaged by a quick-thinking fan who decided to take that moment to get a selfie.
Welcome to the show, kid.
Yup, as swiftly as Drury hustled to the ball to pull off the acrobatic catch is how casually the fan pulls out his cell phone and struts over to the gingerly moving Drury to snap the photo.
Of course, the Diamondbacks bring out the selfie lover to the ballpark, no matter where they play. Maybe their mascot should be Kim Kardashian.
