Brunswick Woman Accused Of Smoking Heroin, Driving With Kids In Car
Police in Gardiner say a Brunswick woman was charged with endangering the welfare of a child after she smoked heroin and then got behind the wheel of a car with two kids in the vehicle.
Ashley Theriault, 26, was arrested Sunday afternoon, according to WABI.
Police said Theriault pulled over to the side of Route 24 because she thought she was going to pass out.
Police arrived after a passenger in the vehicle called for help.
Theriault was taken to the hospital.
Two children who were in the car with Theriault are now being cared for by a relative.
