Shortly after noontime Monday, a local resident called Sussex RCMP to report a body had been found in the river.  The body was identified as that of John Arthur Crabbe of Fredericton.

Fredericton Police said Crabbe went missing on December 17, 2012. He had been staying at a homeless shelter in the city.

RCMP say an autopsy was performed today. Foul play is not suspected.

Wickham is about 60 miles downriver from Fredericton.
