The West District RCMP is asking for the public's assistance in locating a woman from Ontario and her newborn baby for a well-being check.

On Saturday, police from the Saint-Léonard Detachment received a report from the Quality Inn Motel in Saint-André, N.B., that they believed a woman had delivered a baby in one of the rooms being rented. No one has seen the woman and the baby and there is a concern for their well-being. The birth of the baby is believed to have taken place prior to May 25, 2018.

Photos of Bonnell and Guan are being released in hopes that someone will recognize them and call the police so a well-being check can be done. The most recent photo police were able to obtain from Michael Bonnell is from 2014 and Yuyang Guan's photo is from 2016 so their appearances may be different.

Anyone with information about their whereabouts is asked to contact the Saint-Léonard RCMP detachment at 506-473-3137 or your local police.
