A Woodland man is facing jail time after a domestic violence assault that took place late Thursday evening.

According to Sheriff Darrell Crandall, Deputies responded to 125 Brown Road in Woodland after receiving a 911 call from a woman who had been assaulted. Deputies determined that 34-year-old Ryan Everett of Woodland had assaulted the woman as well as broke her phone.

The woman was transported to the Cary Medical Center in Caribou by ambulance where she was treated for injuries sustained during the assault.

Everett was arrested and charged with Domestic Violence Assault, Obstructing Report of the crime, and Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol.

He was transported to the Caribou Police Department where he was booked. Everett was subsequently released on $250.00 cash bail.

Everett’s initial court appearance is scheduled for August 6 in Caribou District Court.
