Winterport Tea Room To Close, But You Can Still Get Their Tea
True tea lovers in Maine are likely very familiar with the local business, Tea Maineia. Most recently, the tea room and store have occupied a quaint little storefront on Main Street in Winterport.
Specializing in delicious loose teas, the tea room has offered folks a place to not only purchase teas but taste them, as well.
I first became familiar with the company, when several of its brands were used for The Marvin & Sheri Glazier Literacy Tea event hosted by Literacy Volunteers of America, and became an instant fan. Since then, Tea Maineia tea has been featured in many local events and galas across the state.
That's why I was concerned, at first, when I heard they were closing up their shop. But when I checked their Facebook Page and found out why and what their plan was, it made total sense.
This week they announced that they're going to become grandparents, and want to free up some of their time to enjoy their newest addition. And they will still be selling their tea!
"This has been such an incredible journey, and it is with hearts full of gratitude that we announce our plans to keep sharing our love and passion for tea by transitioning to a strictly online and wholesale model. This will allow us more time to source, blend, and introduce new teas to our ever-growing tea selection."
The change, they say, won't be immediate, and they will be open through the holiday season, so there will be plenty of time to get their specialty tea for your Christmas parties or presents.
"We will remain open and well stocked with tea and lots of tea accessories through the end of this year. Holiday shopping has already begun for many! We very much look forward to staying connected through social media, newsletters, and... of course TML.!"
