Wintergreen Arts Center is expanding its creative preschool to include two class sessions for the upcoming 2018-2019 school year.

The first class meets from 8:00 am to 11:00 am; and, the second class is scheduled to meet from 11:30 am to 2:30 pm.

Both classes are open to a class size of 14 students each, and meet Monday through Thursday at the Center’s 149 State Street location.  Wintergreen’s academic year follows the MSAD#1 School Calendar.

Under the Willow Tree, Wintergreen’s creative preschool, is an educational program for children ages three to five.  The preschool implements a child-centered approach using small-group and hands-on activities to provide students with a diverse learning environment.  Instruction and guidance are given to children in ways that foster imagination, creativity, and critical thinking.

“This will be our third year of operation for Under the Willow Tree,” said Dottie Hutchins, Wintergreen’s executive director.  “Our preschool teachers, Lisa Brewer and Katie Greenlaw, pour their hearts into this program.  And, from the feedback we’ve received from parents and others, Wintergreen is helping to meet a real need in our community for creative learning opportunities.”

To learn more about Under the Willow Tree, a creative preschool, members of the public may call the Wintergreen Arts Center at (207) 762-3576.  Space is still available for the 11:30 am to 2:30 pm class session.
