Washburn Estates Lightning Strike Fire [PHOTOS]

According to Washburn residents - lightning struck the Washburn Estates resulting in a fire - forcing those inside the building to evacuate.

Just after noon on Sunday August 4, 2013 - according to evacuees of the Washburn Estates in Washburn - lightning struck the apartment building causing a fire to break out.

Neighbors nearby rushed over to help evacuate those inside the building just before the Washburn Fire Department, Washburn Police Department, Caribou Fire Department and Crown Ambulance arrived on scene.

At the time these photos were taken witnesses of the fire said that everyone inside had been evacuated and were safe, but pets were still trapped inside the building.
