A 22-year-old wanted man was apprehended on a murder warrant by U.S. Marshals in Maine.

Wanted for Murder and Possessing a Machine Gun

Dameon Jaquan Thomas from Georgia had a warrant for murder, plus a federal warrant from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for possession of a machine gun.

Murder Charges after Man was Shot and Killed During Altercation

He was charged with murder with other co-defendants after a man was shot and killed during a fight on November 1, 2025 in Wadley, Georgia.

U.S. Marshals Service was Requested to Arrest Wanted Man

U.S. Marshals located Thomas in Maine after the Georgia Bureau of Investigation requested assistance in apprehending him.

Arrested at a Residence in Maine and Taken into Custody

The Maine Violent Offender Task Force arrested Thomas at a residence in Auburn without incident. He will be extradited back to Georgia to face the charges.
