UMaine’s Wood Has Knee Surgery
UMaine standout senior forward Liz Wood will be out 3 to 6 weeks after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery on Monday.
Wood was the America East Co-Defensive Player of the Year and first team all-conference. She average almost 14 points and 8 rebounds per game, along with 3 assists and 3 steals per game. Wood was also named AE top scholar-athlete.
The Black Bears were 23-9 a year ago.
Full squad practices begin next week. The season opener is November 13th at Harvard.
