State Police say Paul Folsom, 46-years-old from Houlton, was driving his unloaded tractor trailer west on Rt. 212 around 7:30 a.m. when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic. Folsom struck Kenneth McNally, 45-years-old from Sherman, who was driving a trailer loaded with wood chips that spilled on the road. Both vehicles were extensively damaged.

A third vehicle swerved off the road to avoid Folsom’s truck, resulting in minor damage. All vehicles had to be towed from the scene and clean-up took about six hours.

Folsom was transported to Houlton Regional Hospital with injuries that were not life threatening, and McNally sustained minor scrapes.
