Here is the latest weekly report from Troop F of the Maine State Police, based in Houlton:

April 26 - Troopers Sylvia and Endre conducted a traffic stop in Bridgewater and as a result, charged a 24-year-old Linneus woman with OAS.

April 27- Trooper Darcy charged a Hampden man with Operating after Suspension as the result of a traffic stop in Houlton.

April 29- Trooper Darcy had a Unity College student who is interested in the State Police go on a ride along with him.

April 29- Trooper Sucy stopped a vehicle for speeding in Houlton. As a result of the stop and investigation, a 25-year-old Oakfield man was charged with the following: Possession of Schedule Z Drugs (Class E) - 2. Illegal Possession of Hypodermic Apparatuses (Class D) - 3. Sale and use of Drug Paraphernalia (Civil Violation) - 4. Trafficking in Methamphetamine (Class B).  Full details here.

April 29 - Trooper Stoutamyer responded to report of a burglary in Weston where tools had been stolen. Also at the same time, Trooper Lindsay from Troop J was responding to a second burglary in Danforth that had similar characteristics. After investigation, a suspect was developed in Danforth and when Tr. Stoutamyer and Tr. Lindsay went to the residence to find the suspect, they didn’t find him, but recovered one of the stolen items from a pickup he had borrowed. Tr. Lindsay obtained a search warrant for the residence and the following day he and Tr. Stoutamyer returned to the residence to search it. The suspects were located and after being interviewed, charged with burglary and theft. While at the residence, Tr. Stoutamyer recognized several discarded “one pots" in the back yard and MDEA and DEP were called to the residence to dispose of the items. The investigation of the recovered meth making materials is being handled by MDEA.

During the investigation that took Trooper Lindsay and Trooper Stoutamyer through three different Counties (Aroostook, Penobscot and Washington) they developed a second suspect and the location of the rest of the stolen items. Tr. Lindsay later located the second suspect in Washington County and arrested him on several warrants along with the burglary investigation. Investigation is continuing.

May 1 - Trooper Saucier arrested a 46-year-old Staceyville man on an outstanding warrant issued the day before related to terrorizing charges. PBT result was a .34 B.A.C. at the time of arrest.

May 1 - Trooper Casavant arrested a 24-year-old Deer Isle man for a bail violation stemming from a traffic stop. The operator was also charged with OAS.

May 1 - Trooper Saucier investigated a civil rental dispute in Sherman. As he was leaving, he met the male suspect operating after suspension. The 40-year-old Sherman man was arrested and charged with OAS and VCR after he refused to submit to a urine test at the Penobscot County Jail.

May 1- Trooper Bell charged a Hodgdonwoman with OAS.

May 1- Trooper Darcy arrested a female on 3 active warrants as the result of a traffic stop on I-95 in Dyer Brook. Tr. Darcy stopped the vehicle for a violation and after speaking with the male driver and female passenger, Tr. Darcy learned that the male had a non-extraditable warrant out of Maryland and the female had 3 active warrants in Maine. She had just moved back to Maine from Oklahoma two days prior.

May 2 - Trooper Darcy arrested a female on a warrant for failure to appear at her residence in Dyer Brook.

May 2 - Trooper Marquis investigated a threatening complaint in Woodland. The offending party lives in Caribou and he was warned for harassment.

Troop F of the Maine State Police is responsible for Aroostook County and the extreme northern sections of Somerset, Piscataquis and Penobscot counties.
