Right around 8 p.m., a vehicle traveling westbound went out of control on a curve, crossed over the center line, and collided with an oncoming vehicle, according to RCMP Sgt. Marc Violette of the Saint-Léonard Detachment.

A 31-year-old Tobique First Nation woman was the driver and sole occupant of the westbound vehicle, while the other vehicle was carrying an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, both of Saint-Léonard.

All three were taken to the Edmundston Regional Hospital and treated for various injuries, which were thought to be non-life threatening.

RCMP said the road was snow-covered at the time of the crash. The preliminary investigation indicates that speed and alcohol were also possible contributing factors.
