The officers working on the case have released little details surrounding the death of Laurélie, 5, and Anais, 2, and a boy, Loïc, 4, who drowned at their apartment.

The children were at home with their mother, who recently separated from the father. The two were going through a custody battle. The grandmother of the children discovered their bodies, but the police are not saying who called 9-1-1.

‘I heard the cries of the grandmother when she came home and found the children (Sunday) afternoon,’ said a neighbor.

The father of the kids arrived at the crime scene shortly after.

The Province police are still investigating the case and have not charged anyone with the murders yet.
