A man and two women were arrested Thursday and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking in Newcastle.

Tip Led to Drug Trafficking Arrests

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office said they acted “on a credible tip” from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office about a “vehicle bringing a large amount of Fentanyl and Cocaine to be distributed locally.”

K9 Detected Illegal Drugs During Traffic Stop

Deputies stopped a northbound pickup on Route 1 around 2:20 am. K9 “Bear” was alerted to the drugs and the truck was searched.

Drugs and Cash Seized from Pickup

Police seized 216 grams of Fentanyl and 163 grams of Cocaine. The estimated street value was close to $37,900.

Man and Two Women Apprehended and Arrested

Three people were taken into custody including 21-year-old Khyllie Weaver from Thomaston, 27-year-old Divine Devonish from New York City and 46-year-old Jessica Fratello from  Union.

Booked on Aggravated Drug Trafficking Charges

All three were charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking. They were taken to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset.

One Posted Bail and Two in Jail

Devonish posted bail and has a court date set. Both Weaver and Fratello were held on a $400 cash bail.
