Theriault Starts #6 At ‘World’s Fastest Half Mile’ [VIDEO]
Maine Austin Theriault will start today's ARCA Series race in Indiana from the #6 position after Saturday evening pole qualifying.
Kyle Benjamin broke a track record in winning the pole. His qualifying time was 115.163.
Theriault lead the driver points championship by 110 points over Dalton Sargeant. Today marks the 13th race in the 20-race series.
The race takes place at Winchester Speedway in Indiana. It is nicknamed the 'World's Fastest Half-Mile Track'. What makes the track so interesting with the 33-degree banking - that is steeper than Daytona or Talladega.
Theriault has been the model of consistency in the ARCA Series, winning three races and finishing in the top 10 in all 12 races.
The race is a 2pm start this afternoon.
