Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson surprised his mother with a heartwarming Christmas gift.

On Saturday, the actor revealed he bought Ata Johnson a new home. He shared an Instagram video of his mom opening a "golden ticket," which entitled her to the house of her choosing in any location she wants. The 70-year-old was reduced to tears by her son's kindness.

"Guess what?" she can be heard saying to her granddaughter Jasmine. "I get a brand-new house!"

The Rock, 46, went on to explain that as a child, he and his family moved often. He said in his caption they "lived like gypsies on the road from one state to another," adding that his parents only ever lived in one home -- the one he bought them in 1999.

"They divorced about 5yrs later and as with life, stuff happens and things got a little complicated. Since then I always made sure my mom and dad have everything they'll ever need - houses, cars etc. But the house this time is a special one and the timing is very meaningful," he wrote. "I told her to treat this card like it's 'Willy Wonka's Golden Ticket' because she gets to choose any home she wants - anywhere she wants. I always say, if you got a good mama, then you gotta pretty good shot at becoming a decent human being."

In March, The Rock surprised his dad Rocky with a new Cadillac after he underwent hip replacement surgery. A few months later, the former professional wrestler gifted cousin Tanoai Reed, who works as his stunt double, with a custom pickup truck as a thank you.
