A Patten man will admit responsibility in the death of a Maine State Police detective who was fatally injured on the Interstate in the Bangor area in 2019.

A tractor-trailer that lost a wheel on a New Hampshire highway last week, causing a fatal crash, was in violation of safety codes and should have been taken out of service. That’s according to an inspection report filed by the Maine State Police Commercial Vehicles unit.

An Aroostook County trucker was involved in an accident on the interstate highway in New Hampshire Wednesday that claimed the life of a 40-year old woman.
