Gee, isn't it nice to not have to wake up at 5:30 A.M. for the 2016 Emmy nominations? Either way, the big announcement is finally here, as presented by black-ish star Anthony Anderson and Gilmore Girls returnee Lauren Graham, so let’s find out what we're all angry about/celebrating this year at the Emmys!

Sherlock production has been curiously quiet since the initial announcement last month, with nary a sighting of Benedict Cumberbatch or Martin Freeman, though it seems the game is finally once again afoot. Captain America baddie Toby Jones has officially been announced as a new Season 4 villain, deepening the great Moriarty mystery.

Benedict Cumberbatch, you busy bee. Just days after hanging around the comic shops of NYC dressed as Doctor Strange (and presumably some filming as well), the Sherlock star is already back in action for Season 4, popped collar and all. You know what manga fans love, in my anecdotal experience? Homoeroticism. You know who else loves homoeroticism? Sherlock fans. So it was only a matter of time until someone realized that the key to cashing in on all those fans at once could only be a Sherlock manga. Today at the the ComicsPro retailers summit in Portland, Oregon, Titan Comics announced that it will publish an English-language translation of a manga adaptation of the Sherlock story A Study In Pink in June. This will mark the first time time the Japanese series has been made available in English and officially sold in the United States and United Kingdom.

Nice as it was to have Sherlock reintroduce us to Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman’s dynamic in a classic era, the stealth prequel couldn’t help whet appetites for Moriarty’s apparent return in Season 4. Sadly, we’ll have to wait longer than ever to catch up with Sherlock and Watson in the modern day, as PBS says Season 4 is at least a year out.
