Fresh off their upset of Presque Isle the Caribou Vikings closed out the regular season hosting Washington Academy on Thursday evening. The two-time defending state champions came into the final game with a 4-13 record and Washington Academy brought a 5-12 record to Caribou.
On Monday night the Central Aroostook boys’ team hosted the Houlton Shires in Mars Hill. Houlton came in with a 4-5 record in Class B north as they kicked off a very busy week in which they will play 5 games. Central Aroostook came in with a 6-7 record in Class C north.
As January winds down and we get ready for February, a month in which we will see the return of the Maine High School Basketball tournament, teams are jockeying for position and heal points. Monday night the girls' and boys' teams from Houlton traveled to Mars Hill to take on Central Aroostook
The Southern Aroostook Warriors were in Mars Hill on Tuesday taking on the Central Aroostook Panthers in boys’ high school basketball. Southern Aroostook came into the game with a 10-1 record and #2 in Class D North. Central Aroostook put a 5-6 record on the line while sitting #17 in Class C North
On Wednesday night the Presque Isle Wildcats hosted Aroostook County rival the Caribou Vikings in Class B boys basketball action. The game was broadcasted on 101.9 The Rock.
