Presque Isle Historical Society

For the third summer, the Presque Isle Historical Society’s Maysville Museum will open at its site on the Caribou Road on Saturday, June 1st.

One of the tours will take the public on the trolley to the place where Jim Cullen lived. Cullen was the only man to be lynched in New England.

A free, unique presentation open to the public on “Victorian Hair Work as an Art Form, " sponsored by the Presque Isle Historical Society, will be held on Wednesday, March 6.

The Presque Isle Historical Society's Maysville Museum and The 1875 Vera Estey House Museum have been accepted as Distinctive Destinations, a program of the National Trust for Historic Preservation.

The Presque Isle Historical Society has been awarded a grant from Maine Humanities Council to create a new exhibit around ten antique quilts from its collections.
