The Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Houlton man on numerous charges in connection with a violent assault and robbery last month in Hodgdon.
United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced that Deidre Smith, also known as Deidre Fowler, 43, of Bangor, Maine, pleaded guilty this week in U.S. District Court to unlawfully entering the United States without presenting herself at a border crossing point in southern Aroostook County. Smith is currently unemployed and is a dual citizen of the United States and Canada.
