Saturday, May 14th is the 24th Annual ‘Stamp Out Hunger’ Food Drive, coordinated by the National Association of Letter Carriers.

It's that time of year when it's starting to really get cold outside, and money is often tight for many people. Some people have to make the tough choice as to whether to eat or to eat there home.

The collaborative effort between TAMC and Cary Medical Center to lead a region-wide Feed The County effort in May has yielded more than a ton and half of non-perishable food to replenish area food pantries.  The Hospitals Against Hunger food drive was planned as a part of both organizations’ celebration of National Hospital Week and is being hailed as a huge success.

One of the great things about living in Aroostook County is that people really come together and help out in a time of need. People put their differences aside to help out for the good of the community. It's endearing really.
